Leading Chinese EV manufacturer BJEV reports high first half of the year sales

BEIJING — 35,191 vehicles were sold in the first half of this year by Beijing Electric Vehicle Co (BJEV), the electric car division of Beijing Automotive Group Co Ltd (BAIC Group), that is an increase of 106.88 percent over the same period last year, to witness the good momentum of the electric car in China and the world. Bjev sold 11,224 vehicles in June alone, as opposed to 3,597 during the same month last year.

Sales are comparable with the Tesla Model Y, the best-selling car overall in Europe in the first half of the year, which sold 125,144 units, thus tripling from 40,147 units in the same period the year before.
